Discrimination on four wheels
I am standing outside site waiting for a taxi to take me back to office and some distance in front of me four Indonesian site workers wait for one too. A taxi crests the hill and one of the workers tries to flag it down. The driver, without slowing down, gestures to them that he is not looking to pick up any passengers, despite his car being empty.

Immediately upon passing the Indonesians, however, the taxi driver signals to me asking me if I wish to be his fare. I ignore him. He picks up someone else behind me in the end. I do not know if my show of solidarity mattered.
